  • Login to your WSU Email account at email.wsu.edu
  • Once you are in your Inbox, click on the  icon in the upper right hand corner of the window to open your Mail Settings.

If you currently have Email Forwarding turned on, turn that off first:

  • Select Forwarding then Uncheck the box by Enable Forwarding and make sure you hit the Save button on the bottom right.

    Email Forwarding Settings Screen

How to setup the Inbox Rule:

  • Select Rules and click Add new rule

    Add New Rule Screen
  • In the first box, set a Name for your Rule
  • Second, add a condition, if you want to forward all emails, choose Apply to all messages
  • Third, add an action to tell it to Redirect to and put the external email in the box.  You will have to click where it says "Use this address" on the little dropdown box to force it to use a non-WSU email account.
  • Remember to click the Save button on the bottom right.

**NOTICE**:  This will redirect ANY email that goes to your WSU email to the Outside Address and it WILL NOT keep a local copy of the message.  When a message is redirected, we have no ability to recall it or get it back once it leaves our domain.  If you are not comfortable with this, we still suggest you turn off Email Forwarding and actually use your WSU Email Account directly. (either through email.wsu.edu or set up on Outlook on Windows or Mac, or the Outlook App on Android and iOS devices)
